Joao Valerio, BS, HFS

I was born and raised in Asheville, NC. I lettered in Cross Country and Track all four years of high school going to regional’s and state each year. I Got my start in the fitness industry at an all ladies gym facility, where  I worked for 5 years getting experience in personal training, group classes, focusing on women’s health, and event planning and promotions.

I Earned my Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness Promotion at UNC-Asheville May of 2011. I Attained my Personal Trainer and Kickboxing Instructor Certification through AFAA. I have experience in teaching all types of classes; spinning, upper and lower body strength training, total body conditioning, cardio-strength intervals and BOOTCAMPS.

My passion is promoting health and wellness, personal training and women’s health; I want to educate individuals and help them in their journey to obtain all around health and wellness. One day I would love to open my own health and fitness facility in Asheville, NC and write a personal training book.
